Arrival and Dismissal

Morning Arrival at Nativity

Parents have two primary options for dropping their children off at Nativity.

Option A: Parkers

Parents who park and take their child to the courtyard should use the sidewalks and crosswalks on campus to get closer to the courtyard. Families should NOT cross between parked cars as this creates a huge risk of someone getting hit by a car.

Option B: Drop Off

For student safety, we ask that you not drop students off on Ridge, Woodford or Pandora. Please pull into the lot to drop off your students. Once in the lot students may be dropped off in the green zones and walk to a sidewalk to enter the building or go to the courtyard. Please pull all the way forward so as many cars as possible can enter the lot. Once you have dropped your student off and exit onto Pandora we ask that you please turn right onto Woodford to help keep traffic moving and avoid a backup into the parking lot and driveway.

  • Please do not drop children off on Ridge, Woodford, or Pandora
  • Please do NOT block the Parish parking lot or use it to drop students off
  • Please do NOT cross between parked cars
  • Please use the crosswalks and sidewalks throughout the campus
  • Please pull all the way forward to the Parish Offices to allow for cars to enter the drop off zone

Dismissal at the End of the Day at Nativity

Parents have two primary options for picking their children up from Nativity at the end of the day. We encourage everyone to pick a plan, talk to your children about it so they know where you expect them to be at the end of the day. We strongly discourage changing your plan from day to day, as it causes confusion for the students and delays the dismissal process when a child is not waiting where they are expected to be.

 Option A:  Parkers

This option is designed for adults who will park their cars, get out of their cars and meet their child/ren in the courtyard.  They then escort their child/ren back to the car and exit the lot onto Pandora. All drivers are asked to turn left out of the lot onto Pandora and right onto Woodford to help reduce backups.

Students designated as “Parkers” will be dismissed from their homerooms at 3:00 p.m. and will proceed to the courtyard.

 Option B:  Carline

This option is for adults who will remain in their cars, stop to pick up their child/ren, and exit the lot onto Pandora.  All drivers are asked to turn left out of the lot onto Pandora and right onto Woodford to help reduce backupsAdults who are “Carline” should not enter the lot until 3:10pm. “Carline” adults who enter the lot before 3:10 pm will be asked to leave and return after 3:10pm. Arriving before 3:10 will not be to your advantage.

When Carline adults enter the lot, they will be met by a staff member.  The driver should give the name(s) of the student(s) being picked up.  Those names will be relayed to a staff member inside who will then release the student(s).  Carline students will remain inside until their name is called.  Carline students will NOT wait outside.  They will not be released until the driver has given his/her name to the staff member.

All drivers are asked to turn left out of the lot onto Pandora and right onto Woodford to help reduce backups.
